The Cardinals were featured on this direct-to-Amazon web series that hardly anyone watched.....The series has no insights, no real breakthrough moments.....
But the worst part might be Jon Hamm’s narration. Hey, I love Jon Hamm, you love Jon Hamm, we all love Jon Hamm. He’s Deadspin’s own Jon Hamm! But who ever wrote his narration appears to have cribbed the whole thing from self-motivation notes Roger Goodell wrote down in his dream diary. Hamm, a lifelong Buzzsaw fan who was eager to be a part of the documentary, has to keep saying things like “On the road to a championship, the closer you get, the harder each step becomes” and “A fast start doesn’t tell you everything. But it might tell you all you need to know.” As I mentioned in my Decider review, his narration is so banal that I found myself internally narrating my life with it.

.....Apparently, growing up Ben was one of those guysin high school that couldn't grow a beard. He was always envious of his friends that were able to grow beards when he could never get past a few patches on his face. After he left college for Hollywood, he started receiving offers for movie roles that required him to ditch the baby face look for a full grown manly beard.
Thats when he learned that that a lot of the guys in Hollywood have the same problem but have been using a product called "Beard Czar" to grow a rich and full beard for years. Ben said it was Jon Hamm that first told him about Beard Czar. He had always been envious of Jon's beard and when he learned his secret he forced him to get him a bottle that night!

...was at the Tom Ford Fashion Show held during  New York Fashion Week....180 guests....
at the Four Seasons hotel in Manhattan, a fashion show, cocktails, dinner and a live performance by Leon Bridges.

Jon Hamm, Uma Thurman and Cindy Crawford showed up shortly after. "When you wear it you just feel good," said Hamm of wearing Ford's luxurious tuxes. "I’ve been fortunate enough to be dressed by Tom for several events that come with their own kind of stress levels built in, so when you feel like you look good and you’re comfortable, it makes it that much easier." He added, "And he just makes bodies look good!"
Among the first to show up, heading upstairs into the Grill Room shortly after 7 p.m., was Jon Hamm, wearing a plaid fall suit that he’d just picked up from the Tom Ford store on Madison Avenue.
Is this fashion week? I don’t even know. I don’t understand it. I’ve never gone to any of it,” Mr. Hamm said.
But he knew he liked his suit.“Just feel it,” he said. “My God. It doesn’t get any better than that. It feels like touching hope.”

The Show Open Ed Helms kicked off the night with a video in which he pretended to pitch a cancer movie to some of his famous friends, who all seemed to miss the point of the project. "Are you sold on cancer?" asked Zach Galifianakis. "Because I see my character as a doctor, but a doctor of philosophy."
"If Matt Damon is involved, can I be the genius and he play the supportive best friend this time?" Ben Affleck said. "I think that's more realistic."
"Are the female doctors paid the same as male doctors, or is it like Hollywood?" asked Eva Longoria.
"Who's playing cancer?" said Jon Hamm.

Festivities at Jack Shainman Gallery, Bortolami, Anton Kern, and ZieherSmith made for a hectic scene as the boldface names—a Thelma Golden there, a Jon Hamm there—began to accumulate. Matthew Marks, presenting a show of paintings by Peter Cain, was, characteristically, a lot more restrained......

Emmy executive Producer, Don Mischer
How do you handle the range of nominees from very popular shows like “Game of Thrones” to series with smaller viewership or, in the case of digital series, unknown viewership?
Mischer: There will be people watching this show who don’t know “House of Cards” and may not even know “Game of Thrones.” What we hope to do in the amount of time we have is to show some of the nominated work. Last year when Jon Hamm won, [we gave the audience] an idea of who he was and the character he played even if they weren’t “Mad Men” fans. It’s one of the
difficulties with the show — in a three-hour period, which is actually two hours and six minutes of program time, we  have 27 awards to give. We have more awards per segment than any other show on television.

The Friday night agency party crawl has become a staple of Emmy weekend.
CAA
Bouchon was packed with A-listers who wound their way through every nook-and-cranny of the famed Thomas Keller eatery. Showrunners “Better Call Saul’s” Peter Gould talked up production for season three of his AMC hit and “Mr. Robot’s” Sam Esmail tried to avoid giving away any spoilers for the upcoming finale. TV Academy chairman and newly anointed Disney/ABC exec Bruce Rosenblum accepted congratulations for his new gig.
Stars Milo Ventimigilia, Kerry Washington, Jon Hamm, Matthew Morrison, Neil Patrick Harris, Jon Hamm, Eric Stonestreet and more mixed and mingled alongside execs including ABC’s Channing Dungey, NBC’s Jennifer Salke, Showtime’s David Nevins, Amazon’s Roy Price, FX’s Nick Grad and Eric Schrier, Discovery’s Rich Ross and MGM’s Mark Burnett. “Amazing Race” exec producer Bertram Van Munster was there too, hoping for yet another win on Sunday

"She needs me and my show!': Celebs Go Dating expert Lady Nadia Essex wants Nicole Scherzinger on the next series
"She would be awesome - she's so perfect and deserves someone amazing. Someone a bit taller than Lewis Hamilton - I think she needs bit more of a manly man.
"Don''t get me wrong, he is gorgeous. I see her with a Jon Hamm man. A real man. He's gorgeous. Nicole is a strong woman and it's difficult to find a man who isn't intimidated by that.

Ellie Kemper
The saving grace of the interview is Garry Shandling. He was the lead guest, and throughout my segment, he chimes in and tries to help. At the time, I worried that he was making fun of me. But it’s now clear to me that he’s just trying to make the segment entertaining. At one point, seemingly 73 hours into my story of giving Jon Hamm a hug at an awards show and getting makeup on his tuxedo, Garry compares that smeared tux to the Shroud of Turin. Neither Jay nor I react. “That was an excellent reference,” Garry mutters to himself.

Scott Aukerman, host of podcast Comedy Bang Bang
Guests that have embraced the show’s silliness include Ben Stiller and Amy Poehler, Simon Pegg and Sarah Silverman. Plus there are a large bunch of regular contributors who take on the character roles, including Jon Gabrus and Paul F Tompkins, both of whom will be part of the UK shows. Aukerman says that it’s often the non-comedian guests who shine the most. “Jon Hamm has been on it since the beginning,” he explains, “which was right when Mad Men started. He’s one of the best guests, he’ll jump right into it. I love it when the people you wouldn’t expect to do so well really take to the format.”

actor Eugene Mirman: Gene (Bob’s Burgers)
Do you have a favorite episode or Gene moment?
—That bathroom scene definitely stands out. Also, I love when Gene overcomes distraction to get the black garlic (“Best Burger”). But one of my favorites is “O.T.: The Outside Toilet.”I got to record that with Jon Hamm, and that was just a lot of fun to have him in the studio, especially since he was voicing a toilet.

Guest Max Brooks, son of Mel Brooks and Anne Bancroft, showed his father's audacity in criticizing the double standard about the candidates' health. The media put Clinton at death's door for her pneumonia, he said. "Trump -- this walking aneurysm -- somehow we look at him like he's Jon Hamm," Brooks said. The remark awed Clinton supporter Maher.

"..... After a Mr. T keychain gave away their presence, our survivors engaged in a standoff with the guns-drawn trio, and when one of these strangers suddenly turned toward the increasingly cold-blooded Melissa (January Jones), she reflexively unloaded a shotgun blast into his chest. His cohort, Lewis, removed his fallen friend’s helmet which revealed the face of dramatic actor turned comedy pop-up king Jon Hamm."

“There was no Mad Men tie-in that we were ever planning,” Forte maintains to TVLine. “Frankly, I can’t believe it didn’t occur to me.”
... Jones, who tells TVLine she “died laughing” when Forte “whispered it to me” back in July at Comic-Con, adding, “I thought it was ingenious given our history together.”
Did she take any particular delight that, in the Last Man universe at least, Betty exacted the ultimate revenge against Don? “I didn’tbecause I thought we had such a beautiful ending to our story,” Jones admits. “I felt like there was closure. As Betty, I didn’t feel any anger towards Don. But I thought the fans would get a kick out of it. Thinking back to some of the stuff he did to Betty, maybe they’d see it as a little redemption.”
Jones describes shooting the top-secret sequence as disorienting. “It was surreal, to be honest,” she says. “I see Jon socially and we keep in touch, but it was very weird to see him on a [non-Mad Men] set — especially one that’s so modern — playing other characters. It was bizarre. But it was so much fun. He was such a good sport about it.”
Entertainment Weekly : Congrats. You got us again. How did you come up with the idea for the Hazmat Hammeo? Was the Mad Men connection too good to pass up? And did January help make it happen?
Will Forte : It honestly had nothing to do with the Mad Men connection. [Laughs] He hosted SNL a couple times while [former SNL writer and current Last Man co-executive producer] John Solomon and I were there, and we were lucky enough to get some [sketches on the air] so we got to know him a little bit. Just over the years we’ve kept in touch. He’s always up for little things like this. I had my beard tested for bacteria last season [on The Tonight Show] so I asked him and Rachel Dratch to come out and be my friends who helped me through the results. So I called him up just to see if he had any interest. Hadn’t really even thought about the Mad Men connection, oddly enough. He said it sounded like fun, and I told our writers and they said, “It’s so crazy that Betty’s going to shoot Don!” and I was like, “Oh! That’s right! Oh s—!” [Laughs] We were just so busy working on stuff, my brain is always at about half-mast.

Did we have any requests about how he wanted to die? And how did the shoot go, literally?
- He’s wonderful in that he just wants you to be happy with whatever you want. He’s like, “Okay, this is your thing. Tell me how you see it.” I’m not trying to say he doesn’t have wonderful ideas to make thing better, but he just really embraces the idea. Then again, I only come to him when it’s an idea I think is pretty solid and fun, so maybe it’s a different situation when you have a stinker of an idea, and he helps you fix it. He’s wonderful. I can’t say enough. It was so much fun He’s just a really cool guy and bums around the set. There’s a number of people that he knows in our cast and crew, so it was just really fun having him around for the afternoon.

What did January say when you pitched her the idea? What was her first reaction?
Oh, she was excited. She saw the Mad Men connection right away.

actor Ben Feldman
You’ve been on a lot of shows—is this one different?
I have, but there’s something about this cast. Every single cast has a couple bad eggs, or that person that everyone is making fun of or doesn’t like. And unless it’s me, I haven’t found that in this cast yet. It’s all just cool, great people.
Who was it on Mad Man?
Oooh, I can’t answer that question.
Jon Hamm?
No—I love Jon Hamm. But Mad Men I also joined five years in, so it had already become high school by the time I got there. There were enough secret, sub-textual feuds going on in Mad Men.
