Scott Aukerman on ending the Comedy Bang! Bang! TV show
......
And hand in hand with that, we kept trying to get a really big star to be on the couch for that episode, and a bunch of people were interested and just couldn’t make it work. Jon Hamm was trying to make it work—he was shooting in Atlanta at the time and couldn’t. The more we thought about it, the more I realized, you know, I really just want to be surrounded by friends and the people that made the show so successful

TVLINE | Did you have any flashbacks to your Mad Men arc when you were in ’69, because I was thinking that it was only a few years off from school teacher Suzanne….
-It was. But what was interesting about [Mad Men] is that I didn’t wear any makeup, my hair was my natural curl. Suzanne was a very progressive character for the show at that time. So, what I didn’t get from the Mad Men experience that everyone else got was the makeup, and hair, and the undergarments, all of that. It’s funny because Jon Hamm saw a [Timeless] promo and wrote me, like, “Whoa, the ’60s. I wonder how you prepared for that role….” I was like, “I had a very good teacher.”

11. Who’s the most famous person you’ve ever met?
JP: Hillary Clinton. I met Hillary this year. She came close, so that’s a win. It is a win because she’s got more votes. I met Hillary and then Tom Hanks. Conan, Jon Hamm… I work in this business, so I meet a lot of people. Before Hillary, I guess Tom Hanks. Isn’t he the most famous actor?

How Do You Direct a Sex Scene? 10 Directors Tell Their Secrets
Paul Feig, Bridesmaids
In the film’s first scene, Annie (Kristen Wiig) hooks up with handsome, douchey Ted (Jon Hamm), and they’re not exactly on the same wavelength. “Cup my balls,” Ted orders her, before eventually bouncing Annie from bed: “I really want you to leave,” he admits, “but I don’t know how to say it without sounding like a dick.”
No one is less comfortable with doing a sex scene than me, and that’s why I knew the only way we could do this is by doing a funny one. It wasn’t me being the creepy guy — I wasn’t turning them into Coco from Fame. Although, I can tell you that one of the only days my wife visited the set was the day Jon Hamm was having his sex scene.
You just have to face it like it’s any other highly choreographed scene and find the physicality. The only way we were able to get through it is by making each other laugh, so it became this hilarious wrestling match — if you really look at it, it’s less like a sex scene and more like a crazy fight. Jon was so game, and he and Kristen were literally just trying to crack each other up. We kept saying, “Let’s get more absurd,” because we had the safety of knowing it would be ridiculously funny.
Special Features: • Deleted Scenes – Four hilarious deleted scenes, plus the original opening.
•Spy Game – The stars reveal their roles in the car chases, love story and goofy bromance that melded into the perfect blend of 'burbs and bullets.
•Keeping Up With Georgia – Go on location and see how Georgia doubled as the backdrop for both a sleepy, idyllic neighborhood and a stunt-filled setting for spycraft.
will be available for purchase on January 17.

and repeatedly knocked friend Jon Hamm (on hand to introduce her) for being less her type than his Mad Men co-star John Slattery. The ribbing with Hamm went both ways.
"Of course, we’re not here just to celebrate Tina," said Hamm, whose intro doubled as PG roast. "We’re also here to celebrate an industry where someone as brilliant and beautiful as Tina Fey can end up on casting lists to play my mother." (Hamm, for the record, is 10 months Fey's junior.)

Tina Fey Full Speech (Jon Hamm Opens) at Women in Entertainment 2016 | THR

"Showing up to an event like this, Jon is literally putting himself in danger, Jon and I hadn't known each other long in 2009 when he kindly agreed to come to Washington D.C. to help present me the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor...My whole family was there. It was as a very special night.
"At the party afterwards my cousin came up to me and said, 'I just met Jon Hamm! And he is so handsome! But I have to say I kind of like it better when he's dressed like Don Draper.' And I said: 'Yeah, he actually doesn't do it for me at all. I really like John Slattery is kind of more my deal.' At which point I heard a little voice over my shoulder say 'I can f--king hear you." And it was Jon! And yet, here he is! Giving me another award!"
"I don't know what to tell you, buddy. You can keep showing up at these things, but I just don't like you like that!...I'm Team Slatts and you can't stand it!"
comedian Colt Cabana
Was Jon Hamm game for everything?
Jon Hamm was super up for everything. I think a lot of people were surprised at how much the wrestlers could go with the flow, and I think they were very surprised that Jon Hamm just showed up and let us use him as part of the match. I think in ‘TV-land’ this was something that would have to be set up for weeks and weeks, but he got there an hour before. We told him a couple of things, and just went in and did it. It kind of proves how well the worlds of improv and professional wrestling mirror each other. It was so much fun to do.

“When I act, it’s only with Jess,” says Tierney.
“And it’s only in wedding films,” says Paré.
Paré, of course, made waves as the crooning mate of Don Draper (Jon Hamm) on the iconic Mad Men series.
Jess would definitely leave me for Don Draper if he showed up on this set,” muses the unbiquitous Tierney, who, when not acting in just about every other Canuck film or TV series, is a much in-demand screen and stage director. “I’d leave me for Don Draper.”

With John Galliano was a highlight for you, who else has been favourite clients over the years?
“The late Alan Rickman was an amazing actor and had a great sense of humour. I’m always delighted to see the charming actors such as Jon Hamm and Colin Farrell when they are in town. Sam Smith who has become a close friend took me to Hollywood to do his hair for the Oscars which was absolutely incredible.”

Why can’t some of TV’s leading men — those of chiseled jaw and sexy wink — win Emmy Awards?
....
Sure, some handsome chaps have prevailed in years gone by, but there’s an obvious resistance from the old fogies in the TV academy to hug cute guys. Poor Jon Hamm had to wait until the final season of “Mad Men” before he finally won for playing Don Draper, but that explanation is simple: Emmy voters didn’t want to look stupid by failing to reward Hamm for the role that made him a household name.
Gold Derby founder Tom O’Neil believes the reason goes like this: Those jealous geezers in the TV academy seem to be saying to the studs, “OK, dude, you’ve got the looks, the money, the fame, the babes — here’s one thing you can’t have…. Now SUFFER!”

Keeping Up With The Joneses
Despite boasting an all-star cast and a promising recipe for box-office success, this generic Hollywood comedy fell flat - on its formulaic little face.
If you expected better from Galifianakis, you wouldn't be alone. Isla Fisher and Mad Men's Jon Hamm round out a cast of mismatched neighbouring couples living in suburbia.
It starts off innocently enough, however the film's entirely ridiculous plot (or lack thereof) leave it floating around aimlessly with nowhere to go, at around the 40 minute mark. Without sounding too vague, the laughs are forced and the narrative is strained, if not non-existent, in this random, formulaic and forgettable comedy.

Hamm Xmas(from Mr Porter interview)
This year, he’s spending Christmas at his aunt’s on the Californian coast, most likely, but can’t think of a thing he wants for Christmas. “Having come from a fractured family, holidays were always a little catch-as-catch-can.” He lives in Los Feliz, as he has done since he moved to LA, and can often be seen at his local Italian deli, Little Dom’s.

OK, so let’s have some fun. First question – who is the more prominent John Burroughs alum, Jon Hamm or Ezekiel Elliott?
A tough one, right? Hamm played an iconic role on television, winning an Emmy and Golden Globe. But Elliott could win the danged MVP as a rookie. He’s already a legendary college back, leading Ohio State to the national title. And he could be a star with the star on his helmet for the next half decade. A good debate to have over eggnog.
aouch :
Missouri should be known for its supper clubs and brasseries and not its association with Jon Hamm. Arguably no other community in the Show Me State provides such a defiant mix of nourishment and culture.
Archer’ Art Director Neal Holman On His New Book
I always enjoy hearing about the celebrity guest stars who appear on animated shows like Archer, especially since the recording process doesn’t require the same commitment as appearing on camera. Like when Trace Adkins Skyped in his performance for Moonbeam City…
- What? They Skyped it in? Oh man, I can’t imagine what the audio cleanup on that was like. But hey, whatever works! It’s fun when you realize big names like Bryan Cranston and Jon Hamm, who are winning award after award for their work, are all of a sudden doing bit characters on our show. Like Hamm as Captain Murphy or Cranston as Commander Tony Drake. Let’s get John Travolta. Let’s see if that’ll go over.

Beth Murphy, owner, Murphy's Bleachers
During the World Series, Beth, a devout but forlorn Cubs fan, had been stressed. When the games came to Wrigley, she took the tables out so there was more standing room, and an amalgam of celebrities filled the apartment above the bar after each game. John and Joan Cusack. Eddie Vedder, taking a selfie with her. Bill Murray, who long ago wore a Murphy's hat in his still photograph as a player on "Saturday Night Live." After Game 5, she found Jon Hamm in the alley behind the bar. Hamm had worn a Cardinals cap -- he told Beth that it was his father's -- and Murray yanked it off his head and threw it outside. So, she helped Hamm look, saying, "You've got to admit, it was a little dickish to wear to the World Series."

TV Talk - 10 ways to improve television in 2017
2. Jon Hamm in an 80s reboot - With his “Mad Men” residuals and Mercedes-Benz endorsements Jon Hamm’s probably not hurting for cash but I’d like to see him in a new TV series anyway. Since reboots are trending, how about a new “Magnum P.I.” with Hamm as Thomas Magnum? Or, a “Miami Vice” reboot with Hamm as Sonny Crockett? Ratings gold.
