Things look a bit more promising when Josh’s actor brother Craig (Jon Hamm) returns to town and it’s revealed that many of Josh’s psychic episodes center on his estranged brother. This change is mostly a testament to Hamm, whose charisma and charm are seemingly undeniable no matter the material. But it’s very quickly soiled when it’s revealed Craig’s character has little to offer as well, other than his desire to sleep with Emily despite knowing she is treating his brother. To make matters even more bizarre, Emily obliges him, and little is done throughout the film to discuss the incredible ethical issues such a relationship poses, especially considering Josh unaware that it is occurring.
aouch !
Pratt is an interesting case, in that regard: a TV-to-movie transfer whose career has genuinely taken off, unlike other recent transfers?—?namely Taylor Kitsch, whose career dive at the cineplex is by now campfire lore, or Jon Hamm, whose utter failure to compel us on the big screen we’ve somehow not really talked about. Pratt has luckily been in the habit of starring in movies that make a shit ton of money?—?hence the difficulty in arguing that he’s not a star.

Who would you want to play Max in a TV adaptation?
It’s out of my hands. I’ve sold books to Julia Roberts and Harvey Weinstein, then it’s down to them. I had an approach from Hollywood the other day but I don’t know if anything will come of it. I’d love an out-of-work actor to play Max. The things that have had the biggest impact on me are brilliantly written dramas with actors I wasn’t aware of — such as James Gandolfini in The Sopranos or Jon Hamm in Mad Men.

Q: You have some heavy hitters on producers. You have Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe. How’d that come about.
A: Dan Radcliffe, he and I did a play together in New York a few years back and we got to be very close, Equus. I carried Dan around for eight months while Warner Brothers told me I couldn’t drop him because he still had two more movies to make. He and I became very close I think partly because of the whole child performer thing. He became like my little brother. When I started out doing this I said, “I’m doing this crazy thing. I don’t know if I should do it. I don’t know if anybody will ever see it. What am I doing?” “If I can help, let me know.” So I got to a point and I needed some help and I said, “Hey, do you want to help?” And then Jon and Jennifer Westfeldt, I was doing another play with Jennifer Westfeldt, they were an item at the time. This is all her fault. I didn’t want to do this at all. She said it should be a documentary. She said we should do it. She took me out to dinner with Jon and said, “Hey, let’s make this into a thing.” And I said, “That sounds like a terrible idea.” And that’s how that worked. It was through Jen and Jon that the DP, William Rexer, became the DP and he’s done all sorts of crazy things. I was the least experienced and the person who should not be directing–except that it was my story. It was an amazing experience.

The "All or Nothing" series that will chronicle the Los Angeles Rams' tumultuous 2016 season and is being presented by Amazon Prime will be available for streaming on June 30.
.......
Jon Hamm, star of "Mad Men," will narrate the series, as he did last year when the Cardinals were featured. This will mark the third reality series that chronicles last year's Rams, following "Hard Knocks," the HBO series that followed them through training camp, and "Hollywood and Football," an E! series that followed six Rams players and their significant others.

You've written a screenplay of the novel. If a film were made, who would you like to see in it?
Jon Hamm to play my father. My dad was extremely good looking.
actress Ellie Kemper
Tell me about learning improv from Jon HammJon Hamm went to the same high school as I did and he came back and taught the improv portion of my ninth grade acting class for a year. He was the first person to introduce this notion of "yes, and." Now I sound like an improv dork, but it's like the very crux of improv. You take what your scene partner gives you and you never deny or negate it. It's a simple but profound concept because it's how you navigate life. It's such a handy tool.

He's one of my fave actors. Why doesn't he get more work?Still a big drinker?
................
His movies didn't do so well at the box office, doesn't seem to have crossover appeal from TV.
............................
Have to admit, I turned off The Town after about 15 minutes. Even Jon Hamm couldn't save that one
...................................
He must have the worst representation, he has been in one shit flick after another, last one I saw a trailer of was that Joneses disaster with ratface, here's hoping he goes back to tv

Ellie Kemper
‘What happened in the bunker? Were they raped?' But she does say, ‘If he was a coward who rapes everyone.'""There was dark stuff in the bunker and I've always been curious about how that horrible a person is able to be portrayed in a way that when we're watching him we don't hate him. And I think the answer is because he's played by Jon Hamm, who does a really great job of softening the demon that is that man, but essentially, yes I think that there was undesired sexual stuff going on in the bunker. She does literally say rape," Kemper said.

...this tale of an orphan with a mysterious past is read in what we can only think of as the voice of Don Draper. And remember: the smoldering antihero of “Mad Men” was born Richard Whitman....
The novel was discovered in 2016 by the scholar and literary sleuth Zachary Turpin
...Hamm’s reading is straightforward and clear. His only actorly spin comes with an evasive side villain, J. Fitzmore Smytthe, an unctuous Wall Streeter, whom he delivers with appropriate shiftiness — just, we feel, as Whitman would have him.....
The audio book will be released May 30, the day before Whitman’s 198th birthday.
BABY DRIVER – Revved Up
.....An audiobook veteran, Hamm said of the project, “I had been a fan of Whitman’s work, so it was an easy choice for me. And this is a lost work. It’s exciting to read something new by someone who’s been dead for over 100 years.”
'The Whirligig' play opening night, NY- 21 May 2017
Hamm will be at the St. Louis County Library's Lindbergh
.....Hamm is coming to the St. Louis County Library's Lindbergh location on Saturday, July 22, for an event where he will “discuss his local roots and storytelling through film and television performance with Curtis Sittenfeld, bestselling author of Prep, soon to be a new comedy series from HBO.”The event page makes sure to note that there will be no meet-and-greet with Mr. Hamm, so you'll just have to flirt with your eyes from the audience....
Slattery says he is often asked how he ever could top that show.
“I just saw it the other way around,” he says during an interview to promote the new historical film “Churchill.” “Once you’ve done something like this, for which I’ll probably be remembered in the end despite what (I) do afterward — it never occurred to me to try to top it. I’ve been having a good time doing all kinds of things. I just did a play on Broadway (“The Front Page”), movies like “Spotlight” and (“Churchill”).
“I just heard from Jon Hamm, and we’re going to have dinner. I made a lot of good friends. I miss the writing, and I miss the people,” he adds. “I think we told that story pretty well. It was 10 years of my life.”
