Fletch is making a comeback: Jon Hamm will star in and produce a new feature film about the brazen investigative reporter to be directed by Superbad‘s Greg Mottola and hail from Miramax.....
The new film adaptation will specifically be based on the second book in the Mcdonald series, Confess, Fletch. In a mysterious chain of wild events, Fletch finds himself in the middle of multiple murders — one of which pins him as a prime suspect. While on a quest to prove his innocence, Fletch is tasked with finding his fiancĂ©e’s stolen art collection, the only inheritance she’s acquired after her father goes...
Hamm is producing alongside manager Connie Tavel. David List, Mcdonald’s rep, will serve as an executive producer.
“We could not be more thrilled to see what 21st century twist these artists create,” says Miramax CEO Bill Block.
Producing this film with Jon has been a longtime dream of mine and with Zev and Greg on board to write and direct, I really believe that this will be an exciting and modern reimagining of this beloved character,” says Tavel.
Hamm is repped by CAA, Forward Entertainment and attorney David Weber. Mottola is repped by UTA.

From an interview with Andy Samberg
Have you been binge-watching shows?” Fallon asked Samberg.
What we actually binge-watched, finally, was Mad Men,” Samberg revealed.“I had never seen it,” he continued.
The one with Hamm, our friend,” Samberg added as Fallon appeared to be shocked.
Fallon, however, also admitted having watched the first seasons and the last part of the show, without knowing what happens in between.
It’s one of the best shows ever made, almost,” Samberg joked. "I’ve been friendly with him for a long time and it’s never come up,” Samberg said of Hamm.
“I don’t think it’s ever come up with me either,” Fallon said.
But it is weird cause he hosted SNL at least twice while I was there, maybe three times,” Samberg said. “We did a bunch of Mad Men sketches, I did like, a Mad Men spoof at the Emmys when I hosted it,” Samberg continued. “I definitely have been living in plain sight as a person acting like they’ve seen Mad Men.”
....
All the wedding party talk prompted Fallon to share a Jon Hamm story.
“We were at the Emmy party that we had in LA and he goes, ‘Hey, do you wanna get this party going?’ and I was like, ‘Yeah, let’s do it’ and he goes ‘Come on, let’s get on the tables,’ and we stood on the tables and we started dancing,” Fallon said.
“He saved the party,” Fallon said of Hamm.

How do you adapt to deejaying for surprise guests at a Dave Chappelle show?
.....
Jon Hamm was there. He was like, “Jon Hamm and Michelle Wolf don’t know any of these songs. You need to play some white s**t.” So, I dropped Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing.” Everyone loses their s**t and Jon Hamm walks on stage to start talking to the people and everyone starts singing that s**t. I ended my set with Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” Now, imagine everyone I mentioned just moshing onstage.

And now let’s all sing ‘Take Me Out to the Ball Game,’ Zoom style,” actor and St. Louis Cardinals fan Jon Hamm cheerfully announced, joined by a virtual entourage of celebrities, athletes, fans and familiar FOX faces partaking in the one of the oldest traditions in American sports, utilizing the now-familiar Zoom mosaic look.

I want to talk about the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs the Reverend interactive special ...What was your favorite part of filming it ?

.....It’s one of those nice moments where you don’t feel like you’re working, you’re just hanging out with friends. I think Jon Hamm was maybe on set for two days. He was filming a movie in Atlanta so we only had him for two days. I loved every minute of it. He’s from St. Louis as well and he actually taught me theater when I was 14. It’s crazy. He went to my high school that I attended, he went to college and then came back and taught theater for a year at this high school, John Burroughs. I was a freshman and he was teaching a theater class and I got to take the class with him. He was a great teacher. He actually taught my first improv class. I have known him for a while, but it feels so special that I get to be in this show with him. I can never see him without thinking Don Draper. It messes with your head. The cast and crew of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt are a really lovely bunch. I hope that we get to make more. I really enjoy them. I’ll put it out there into the universe. Maybe it will happen.
Takaway.com, which acquired SkipTheDishes...The company was non-committal when asked if actor Jon Hamm will continue to appear in its brand spots.
The St. Louis-born actor and “honorary Canadian” became the face of the brand in 2018, and has appeared in several well-received spots that have garnered a combined 8.1 million views on YouTube alone.
“SkipTheDishes recognizes how important Jon Hamm is to the equity of their brand, but are currently in the development phase,” a company representative told The Message via email.

How do you get Jon Hamm to do the voice-over for your comedy short?
.....we thought it would be fun to find a recognizable voice......
Having already won Kohn and the New Yorker round, getting on the phone with the agents for a bunch of A-listers was nothing, even if it meant a lot of that “no” she expected to hear. “Some were saying yes with a lot of caveats, some were like 'this guy doesn't wake up for less than 100K." However, Hamm was eager to find space in his schedule to get into the recording booth. After a succession of fearless asks, was directing the Mad Men star nerve-wracking? No, Ross said, but for a different reason. "You don't need to direct Jon Hamm a lot."
